Meditation for Insight: Peace and Love.
In this month’s Power Healing Meditation Call (March 2022) I suggested using our meditation to gain insight. As the war in Ukraine is ongoing I had suggested the meditators use their meditation to explore the true nature of peace.
The subject of the war in Ukraine remains a global topic of conversation, but instead of dedicating our meditation to Peace in Ukraine, I offered that a potentially more valuable “use” of our meditation was to ask questions to prior to / during our meditation so that we could better understand what True Peace really is.
If we’re asking for it, surely we should know what it is? So I proposed a series of question in order to better explore the True Nature of Peace. The question then came up about “using meditation to ask questions” and I have decided to share this as I think it’s important to realise that we can ask questions that we wish to receive answers to in our meditation. But it’s important to understand that we receive the answers we do not create the answers in meditation. Creating answers is thinking with the mind and we don’t need answers from the mind, we already know what it thinks (that’s what we already know, it’s our everyday thoughts and beliefs and assimilation of ideas picked up from society). Instead the meditation space is very valuable for receiving insight from our higher self, our inner knowing and wisdom, our spirit guides etc. When we’re silent, we’re better able to receive guidance.
I decided to post this Q&A because I think many people believe that you’re “not allowed” to ask any questions in meditation because it creates thoughts. And yes, you do need to be a bit disciplined in your practice so you don’t ask a question and then spend your whole meditation thinking about the answer with your mind!
But on the subject of something so important as peace, we really need to cultivate a true understanding of it if we’re ever going to consistently create peace on Earth. And the good news is that peace is a state of consciousness we can cultivate and grow within ourselves and be an example to others.
HINT: In spirituality, it always starts with us. We evolve it, we embody it and then we radiate it. Nothing in spirituality is external, it all starts from within.
