How it all began (honestly)

You do know that Website Bio’s are all PR/ Marketing bullsh*t written by the person whose website it is (but written in the 3rd person, so it looks like someone has written it about them) or written by their PR/Marketing team to position them as an expert and someone you can trust? Yawn. I’m so bored with the masculine marketing model. So here is what I have to say without any BS or PR Spin about me and how I came to start this.

How and Why did I start The Shared Light Collective?

From a young age, I was always drawn to asking the big questions of life, which led to a natural love of sociology. I had big questions and an innate sense of fairness which lead me to want to understand how we could make life/society fairer for all. I got a BA (Hons) in Sociology, but life is rarely a straight-path and I had a detour in the world of business for about 16 years (fashion production to be exact) before the Universe course-corrected me through illness. My illness gave me a lot of time (4 years) to reassess my life and my choices and the course correction led me to work which I loved dearly and grew tremendously through: life coaching, healing and eventually online teaching.

I had the idea of “The Shared Light Collective” about 10 years ago, back then I called it “The Daisy Chain Project” .. I mentioned it to a few people when the idea was in its infancy. Some were super kind and supportive, some were pretty dismissive. I contacted someone who I thought would “get” the idea as he was pretty famous in the spiritual community, and he was pretty dismissive and it knocked me back. I was more fragile back then and I got disheartened and dropped the idea. But it never left me. It was only near the end of 2024 that all the threads of my life seemed to come together and I could see that to bring this project together was my true purpose and everything that came before it  was teaching me the skills and giving me the experience I needed, and yes I admit it, I was being toughened up a bit for my true purpose.

Late in 2025, I felt the Universe say to me that the time was right to bring together not just all the threads of my life but to begin this new journey of bringing the shared light of humanity together too. To put out a call, to all those who are ready, to come together and shine together: to create something truly beautiful together. To be a wecloming and inclusive beacon for all to join in creating a beautiful world for all together.

I genuinely believe from the bottom of my heart that there are more people with good hearts and kind souls, who are working tirelessly to help people, our animal friends and the planet, but we can’t seem to see each other (even in this digital age). We are in our own little bubbles of light. But if we could somehow gather in one place, we would see that the heart-centred people of the world out-number those with destructive tendencies. By coming together, we could collaborate and create a greater impact for good. We would see that we share more in common than what divides us and with conscious loving hearts and minds we can work through any minor divisions and become a global force for good. But more than that- we can create a more beautiful world for all TOGETHER.

I know that I’m not alone in this dream. I’ve heard others speak of the need for unity and it is my dear hope that all those who feel the same way, will come together enthusiastically for the greater good and form a worldwide community working towards a positive future for all. If you’re one of these souls who dreams of unity, love and peace for all, please join the community and participate in whichever way you can. Your Light is valued, needed and is an essential part of the collective dream.
